The Twice-Given Tribute
A quiet ritual of gratitude woven through my Marketplace days.
There’s a small ceremony I’ve been practicing behind the scenes, one that’s become part of the rhythm of my Second Life store. It’s not flashy. It doesn’t announce itself. But it’s rooted in something real—gratitude, motion, and shared light.
Each day I log in and check my Marketplace listings. For every item sold, I count it. And then I double that number.
That total becomes my offering.
Lily (my in-world self) travels to the shop and walks to the Relay for Life kiosk there. She pays in that amount, every time. Not as a gimmick, not for show, but because it feels right to honor the good that flows in with something that flows back out.
It’s my own small current. It’s daily, not occasional. Deliberate, not passive. Love in motion.
I don’t say this to inspire anyone to “do” or give or match—it’s simply a part of my rhythm now, and maybe sharing it lets you see a little more of the heart that hums behind the fabric and folders and folders of outfits. If it stirs something in you—some wanto to make a ritual of your own—then I’d be honored.
Thank you for being part of what makes the giving possible.
~.~ Lily
